Louise Smith
Louise Smith received her BFA from Bard College in 2013, where she was a two-time recipient of the Jane Fromm Yacenda Scholarship of the Arts. In 2015, her large-scale abstract paintings were shown at the Cross Mackenzie Gallery in Washington D.C. and reviewed in The Washington Post. In May 2017, Louise received her Post-Baccalaureate degree at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She also participated in a group show at the Workhouse Arts Center in Lorton, VA; her painting was selected by Harry Cooper, Senior Curator and Head of Modern Art at the National Gallery of Art, Washington, DC. Most recently, shecompleted a mural commission for the Freehand Hotel in NYC and showed in the 2019 Young Hudson Biennial at September Gallery in Hudson, New York.
